# How do I change my Wi-Fi name and password?

## ${color}[#000000](Don’t settle for a boring Wi-Fi name. You’re better than that.)

Ready to give your Wi-Fi name (SSID) a refresh? Or, looking to update your network password to ward off Wi-Fi leeches? With just a few quick taps on your smartphone, you’ll have those updated in no time.

||| ⚠️ Changing your Wi-Fi name and password means devices that are currently connected to your network may disconnect after changing and will need to be reconnected using the new credentials.

1. Open the **oxio Wi-Fi app** on your smartphone device.
2. Open the **Network** page and tap the **pencil icon** next to your current Wi-Fi name and password.
3. Enter your new Wi-Fi name (SSID) or password and tap **Save**. *Brownie points if you rename it to “I🤍oxio”.*
4. Tap **Confirm** in the pop-up and voila! Your home Wi-Fi has a new name and/or password.

1. Open the [**__eero app__**](https://eero.com/app?srsltid=AfmBOoqSR560qyjYc7XXsxA0_C5tur4eNOTSVOGOcXF5GgU50Sc2kbcZ) on your smartphone device.
2. Navigate to **Settings** > **Network Settings**.
3. Select your **Network name or password** to edit. *Brownie points if you rename it to “I🤍oxio”.*
4. Tap Save, and voila! Your home Wi-Fi has a new name and/or password.

1. On a browser, go to [__http://192.168.1.1/__](http://192.168.1.1/)
2. Login using one of the following credentials:

**Username:** oxio
**Password:** FL54cBHZs6

OR (for earlier software versions)

**Username:** user
**Password:** oxio

3. Click on **WiFi** on the left-hand sidebar to open the dropdown menu.
4. Click on **Networks** and add your new network name in the SSID and password fields.
5. Click on **Apply** in the popup at the top of your screen.
