# Setting up your Eero network.

### Ready to set up your Eero network?

> No worries, we've got you covered with this simple, easy-to-follow guide. You'll be connected in no time!


### First things first, let's make sure you have everything you need:
* Eero
* Modem
* Ethernet cord
* Coaxial cable
* A mobile device, like a smartphone or tablet

### Now, let's get started:
1. Let's start by unboxing your **Eero 6** and setting it up next to your **modem**. 
2. Connect the **power cable** to your modem, then plug the modem into a **coaxial outlet** using a **coaxial cable.**
3. Now grab an **Ethernet cable**, and connect your modem to your Eero.
4. Plug in your Eero power cable, and watch for that **blue light** to start **blinking**

### Next up, you'll need the Eero app:

1. Head to your **app store** (App Store for iOS devices or Google Play Store for Android devices)
2. Search for **"eero wifi system"** and download the app.
3. Open the Eero app once it's installed.

### Now, let's create an Eero account:

1. On the welcome screen, tap **"Get Started"**
2. Enter your email address and tap **"Next"**
3. Check your email for a verification code, pop it into the app, and tap **"Verify"**


### Finally, let's set up the Eero network:

1. Tap **"Get Started"** to begin the Eero setup process.
2. Confirm you have all the items listed and click **"Start"**
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect your Eero device to the modem.
4. Wait for the app to find your Eero device.
5. Give your Eero network a name and password, then tap **"Next"**
6. The app will configure your network settings, which may take a few minutes. Once it's done, tap **"Next"**

| 🔉 Note: Don't forget to check for firmware updates for your Eero devices regularly! It'll keep them working their best and keep you protected against security risks!
