First of all: what is WPS?

WPS stands for Wi-Fi Protected Setup, meaning that devices synchronize themselves together through a simple button press as long as they have access to the same Wi-Fi network. Many printers offer this option.

Any user, whether authorized or not, can connect a device to a Wi-Fi network using WPS by using the corresponding button on their router.

How do I activate the WPS ?

The procedure is different for all oxio router models

SR400ac routers come with WPS disabled by default for security purposes.

Reach out to a customer service agent via any of our platforms (Facebook, SMS, email or chat) to have them enable WPS remotely.
To use WPS, press for 7 to 10 seconds on the WPs button located on the left side of your router.
The WPS light will start blinking and you will then have to press on the WPS button on the device you wish to sychnronize with your Wi-Fi network.

SR905acv routers come with WPS disabled by default for security purposes.

If you have accidentally disabled one of your router’s frequencies...

For the SR400ac router:

To ACTIVATE a Wi-Fi frequency:

Press briefly (1 to 2 seconds) on the Wi-Fi button.

To DEACTIVATE a Wi-Fi frequency:

Press the Wi-Fi button for 4 to 6 seconds.

For the SR905acv, SR516ac and SR616ac routers:

To ACTIVATE a Wi-Fi frequency:

Press briefly (1 to 2 seconds) on the corresponding 2.4 or 5GHz button.

To DEACTIVATE a Wi-Fi frequency:

Press the corresponding 2.4 or 5GHz button for 4 to 6 seconds.
