- Open the eero app on your smartphone device.
- Navigate to Settings and tap Software Updates.
- Tap Install Now.
⚠️ This will cause your network to reset briefly, so make sure it’s a good time for you when you don’t have any important meetings or streaming binges on the go!
Stay on top of your updates by enabling notifications.
You’ve got better things to do than checking for firmware updates all the time.
Turn on notifications from your settings to stay on top of it.
- Open the eero app on your smartphone device.
- Navigate to Settings and tap Notifications.
- Toggle the slider next to Software Updates to On.
- Tap the back button on the top right of your screen to save your settings.
If you have the oxio Wi-Fi pod…
The firmware for oxio Wi-Fi pods is updated automatically overnight when the network isn't busy. While they cannot be updated manually, you can check the firmware version to confirm everything is up to date.
- Open the oxio Wi-Fi app on your smartphone device.
- Tap on Network and scroll down to the Extenders section of the Connectivity tab.
- Tap on any of your pods and then the View details button.
- Your current firmware version will be displayed along with the serial number, MAC address, and IP.
