Do I need a credit card to sign up for oxio?

To sign up for oxio services, you’ll need a valid credit card.


For account security, your first payment requires a valid credit card (VISA, Mastercard, or AMEX) or a Visa/Mastercard Debit. You can change this to your preferred method immediately after checkout in the Client Portal.


Your first payment covers your first month of service. Your billing cycle only begins once your equipment arrives and your service is activated.


Can I use a Visa/Mastercard debit card?


Most Canadian cards work, but we can’t guarantee compatibility with every bank.


Can I use a prepaid credit card?


We’re unable to accept prepaid credit cards from banks or stores.


Why is a credit card required?


A credit card is required for two reasons: instant payment processing and to establish liability before shipping your equipment. If your first month is free due to a promo or referral, we still charge and immediately refund $1 to verify the card's validity.
