How to set up your oxio Wi-Fi pod and network.
❶ Connect your modem.
- Screw the coaxial cable coming from the wall into your modem (black box) and ensure it’s firmly connected.
- Plug your modem into an electrical outlet with the provided power cable.
- If your modem has four lights, wait for the POWER, DS ( ), US ( ), and ONLINE/STATUS (@) to light up. If the DS light is flashing after 10 minutes, try connecting your modem to a different coaxial outlet.
If your modem has two lights, wait for them to run through their sequence until POWER is solid green, and STATUS is solid blue. If the STATUS light is flashing green after 10 minutes, try connecting your modem to a different coaxial outlet.
If possible, avoid the use of power bars and coaxial splitters as these can cause loss of signal to the devices.
❷ Download the oxio Wi-Fi app.
Download the free oxio Wi-Fi app onto your mobile device by searching for “oxio Wi-Fi” in the Google Play app or the Apple App Store.
Your Wi-Fi can’t be set up through a website.
❸ Begin setup in the app.
- Open the oxio Wi-Fi app and tap Sign In.
- Enter the same email you used for your oxio account.
- Check your email for the verification link from accounts@plume.com. Check your junk/spam folder if it doesn’t show up in your inbox.
- Tap the Sign In link to return to the app.
- Tap Extenders > Next.
- Tap My extender has no power cable > Next.
From here, the app should prompt you to connect your Wi-Fi pod.
❹ Connect your Wi-Fi pod.
- Plug one end of the Ethernet cable into your shiny new modem and the other end in the left-side port on the back of your Wi-Fi pod. You should hear a click when each side is pushed in.
- Plug your Wi-Fi pod into a power outlet. The LED light on your Wi-Fi pod should be Blue/Green as it boots up and connects and then vanish.
If you modem has more than one LAN port (Ethernet jack), only use one port, as using more will cause the Wi-Fi pod and additional devices to fight for an IP, leading to disconnections. If you wish to hardwire a device, connect to the available LAN port on the Wi-Fi pod instead.
❺ Return to the app.
- Once your pod has been connected, wait for the app to find it. Ensure bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device.
- Once found, restart your modem by unplugging the power cable for 60 seconds and then plugging it back in. This will ensure your Wi-Fi pod receives the proper IP address.
- Tap Next, give your Wi-Fi a cool name and secure password, then tap Next again. Brownie points if you name it “I🤍oxio”.
- Continue following the on-screen prompts and then drumroll please, enjoy your new Wi-Fi network!

- Open the oxio Wi-Fi app and ensure your device has bluetooth enabled.
- Tap Network > Swipe to the Extenders section > tap the + next to any discovered new pods.
- Once it says Extender connected, Tap Done.
