How do I change my Wi-Fi name and password?

Ready to give your Wi-Fi name (SSID) a refresh? Or, looking to update your network password to ward off Wi-Fi leeches? With just a few quick taps on your smartphone, you’ll have those updated in no time.
⚠️ Changing your Wi-Fi name and password means devices that are currently connected to your network may disconnect after changing and will need to be reconnected using the new credentials.
If you have the eero 6 router…
- Open the eero app on your smartphone device.
- Navigate to Settings > Network Settings.
- Select your Network name or password to edit. Brownie points if you rename it to “I🤍oxio”.
- Tap Save, and voila! Your home Wi-Fi has a new name and/or password.
If you have the oxio Wi-Fi pod…
- Open the oxio Wi-Fi app on your smartphone device.
- Open the Network page and tap the pencil icon next to your current Wi-Fi name and password.
- Enter your new Wi-Fi name (SSID) or password and tap Save. Brownie points if you rename it to “I🤍oxio”.
- Tap Confirm in the pop-up and voila! Your home Wi-Fi has a new name and/or password.
If you have the SmartRG router…
- On a browser, go to http://192.168.1.1/
- Login using one of the following credentials:
Username: oxio
Password: FL54cBHZs6
OR (for earlier software versions)
Username: user
Password: oxio
- Click on WiFi on the left-hand sidebar to open the dropdown menu.
- Click on Networks and add your new network name in the SSID and password fields.
- Click on Apply in the popup at the top of your screen.
