How can I manage my recordings (deleting, programming, watching)?

This guide will walk you through the different options pertaining to your recorded TV content!

Records are kept for a maximum period of 6 months
Only the recordings of the channels in your package are kept. If, for example, you made a recording while a channel preview or before removing a channel when changing channels, you will lose access to any recording made on this channel.

How to program a recording



For a single recording :

Open the (3) Guide and select the show or movie you wish to record using the (13) navigational arrows on your remote;
Press the (20) Option/MENU button;
Using the (13) navigational arrows, go down the menu and select Record.

What is the maximum duration of a recording?

At most, you can record six consecutive hours for a single recording.

Can I record TV shows?

You can record 100 hours of High Definition TV and can record on as much as 6 shows simultaneously. All recordings are shared between all of your oxio TV receivers through the cloud.

For a series :

Open the (3) Program Guide and select the episode of the series you wish to record using the (13) navigational arrows on your remote;
Press the (20) Option/MENU button;
Using the (13) navigational arrows, go down the menu and select Record the series;
In the options menu, there are two options for the recording (depending on time slots and rotation) :
Step 1 - Time slot : Here, you can choose whether you want to record every new episode of a show (for example: all four episodes of a show running from Monday to Thursday will be recorded), or only the episodes on one particular day (for example: only the episode on Tuesdays for a show running from Monday to Thursday will be recorded). The latter can be useful for a series that rebroadcasts an episode across the week;
Step 2 - Rotation : Here, you can choose the amount of episodes you wish to keep at once. You can keep 5, 10, or 25 episodes. If you record multiple series at once, choosing a smaller number of episodes can help you remain under the 100 hours of maximum recording space threshold.
Do note that you will not have to reprogram the recording of your series after the 5, 10 or 25 episodes. The oldest ones will simply be deleted to keep the correct amount saved according to your choice on step 2.
Select Apply on screen to make sure the recording is correctly programmed.

You can have up to 100 hours of High Definition recordings, and can record up to 6 shows simultaneously. All recordings are shared between the different TV receivers in your home.
The program guide displays two weeks of upcoming content (between 8 to 14 days depending on our program guide provider).

How to delete a recording.

Careful! Once you’ve deleted a recording, there is no way to get it back
From the Home Screen, select the My Recordings tile, or press on the (15) PVR button on your remote;
Using the (13) navigational arrows, highlight the recording you wish to delete. Highlight only one episode instead of the entire folder containing the different episodes. If you wish to delete all the recordings of a series, highlight the folder containing the different episodes;
Press the (20) Option/MENU button;
Select Delete.

How to watch a recording.



From the Home Screen, select the My Recordings tile, or press on the (15) PVR button on your remote;
Using the (13) navigational arrows, highlight the recording you wish to watch. Select only one episode instead of the entire folder containing the different episodes.


To make the change for local recording only:



Caution:


➥ All your recordings are encrypted and can only be read with the same oxio TV receiver that was used to make the recordings;
➥ You will not be able to record on our servers anymore: you cannot use both a hard drive and the cloud;
➥ Activating this functionality deletes all recordings previously made on your TV receiver;
➥ Activating this functionality deletes all the contents of the hard drive connected to the TV receiver. We are not responsible for any lost or erased data stored on your hard drive;
➥ Some options, such as the Replay option, available on many channels, will no longer be available;
➥ If you miss a show or an epsiode and forgot to record it, our Customer Care Agents will not be able to add it to your TV receiver manually anymore;
➥ If there is an outage, all scheduled shows will not be recorded and will either not appear in your recordings list or appear with a corrupted format.

Consider this functionality if you do not care for sharing recordings between TV receivers or if you only have one receiver. Remember, the hard drive is encrypted and can only be read from the TV receiver that made the recordings.

To activate this functionality:



Contact a Customer Care Agent to deactivate the recording of shows on our cloud servers.
Connect your hard drive to the TV receiver via the blue USB 3.0 port at the back. Also ensure that your hard drive is formatted to the exFAT format beforehand.
Reboot the TV receiver by unplugging it from the wall, waiting 30 seconds, and plugging it back in.
Program any desired recordings through the usual menu.
