If you have the eero 6 router…



  1. Open the eero app on your smartphone device.
  2. On the home page scroll down and tap Profiles.
  3. Select an existing profile or create a new profile for a family member.
  4. Add selected devices to the profile by selecting them from the list and tap Apply to save your device assignments.


From this person’s profile screen, you’ll have options to pause the internet and schedule bedtimes.


eero also offers an in-app subscription to Secure+ for a monthly fee, which includes the following additional parental controls:

If you have the oxio Wi-Fi pod…



  1. Open the oxio Wi-Fi app on your smartphone device.
  2. Tap the People icon, and then the** + icon **in the upper right corner to Add a Profile for a family member.
  3. Follow the on-screen prompts to create their profile and then tap Done.
  4. From the People screen, tap the new person’s profile and assign devices to the profile **and tap **Done.


From this person’s profile screen, you can tap the gear icon next to their profile to open Guard settings and access content filters to block certain websites + content.


If you’re looking to pause the internet, navigate to the Network tab on the home screen and tap on a specific device from the Devices bar. From the device’s details screen, you can “Initiate a Time Out” to temporarily pause internet access.


For scheduling times to pause the internet, you can use the Create a Focus feature in the Manage section of the Home tab. Give the Focus a name, select the profiles and devices to apply it to, set the duration, and tap Create to activate!


If you have the SmartRG router…



  1. On a browser, go to http://192.168.1.1/
  2. Log in using one of the following credentials:

OR (for earlier software versions)


Username: user

Password: oxio


  1. On the left-hand tab, click Parental Controls under the Advanced Setup dropdown. For newer versions this will be under Devices > Access Schedule.


From here, you’ll be able to follow the on-screen prompts for creating schedules to pause the internet, block specific websites, and apply content filters.
