  • Do home phone services include long-distance and international calls?
    We have a couple options! The base phone plan offers unlimited long-distance calls across all of Canada (except Yukon and Northwest Territories). Long-distance calls to the United-States are available for $10 /month. Concerning telephone services that use the pay-per-minute system foFew readers
  • How do I set up my landline voicemail and listen to my messages?
    It’s quite simple! Do note that, for most phones, the presence of voicemail messages is not indicated with a flashing light or intermitent tonality when the phone is picked up.     We cannot guarantee proper alarm system functionality for all systems Most alarm systems are compatible with our telephone services, but it is imperative that you check with your equipment provider whether their services are compatible with IP telephony (VoIP).Few readers
  • Will my phone keep functioning even during an outage?
    During an outage, your phone services will be interupted. 2 options are available to you to avoid missing calls: 1. You may however buy a backup UPS-type battery to ensure functionality during an outage.Few readers
  • Can my number be confidential?
    Of course! To make one confidential call, dial *67 before dialing the desired phone number. If you wish for all your calls to be confidential, simply reach out to a customer service agent via any of our platforms (Facebook, SMS, email or chat) and they will happily assist you in the process.Few readers
  • Do you offer incoming call ID and call holding?
    Yes, we do! Both these functionalities are offered at no additional cost to you! A caller’s ID will be displayed after the second ring of a call. To pick up a call that is on hold, press the “flash” button on your phone once you’ve heard the first ring.   • How many voice messages can the oxio voicemail contain?
    Voicemail comes with oxio phone service - at no extra cost, of course! You can store up to 160 minutes of messages, which corresponds approximatively to 10Mb of storage. It is not possible to increase this capacity. After one year, the messages are automatically deleted to make room for the next ones.Few readers
  • Can I receive collect calls?
    It is not possible to receive collect calls with oxio VoIP telephony Setting up a system to receive and bill collect calls is expensive to implement, maintain and requires regulatory agreements. We want to keep our rates competitive, however adding this feature would make it more expensive. In order to bring the most value to our telephone service, we have focused our efforts on the most commonly used features. 🧘Few readers
