How do I set up my landline voicemail and listen to my messages?

Do you offer incoming call ID and call holding?
Yes, we do! Both these functionalities are offered at no additional cost to you! A caller’s ID will be displayed after the second ring of a call. To pick up a call that is on hold, press the “flash” button on your phone once you’ve heard the first ring. The caller ID of your second caller will also appear on your phone’s display after the second ring.
What is IP Telephony?
IP Telephony, also commonly referred to as Voice over IP (VoIP), is a method of transferring voices over Internet Protocols instead of through landlines. Voices and data are transferred from one phone to another similarly to instant messaging or email. Large telecommunications companies, like Bell and Vidéotron, have been using VoIP for years with great success! It keeps the customer experience as pleasant as before, but allows for easier maintenance for companies that use the service.
Do home phone services include long-distance and international calls?
We have a couple options! The base phone plan offers unlimited long-distance calls across all of Canada (except Yukon and Northwest Territories). Long-distance calls to the United-States are available for $10 /month.
Will my phone keep functioning even during an outage?
During an outage, your phone services will be interupted. You may however buy a backup UPS-type battery to ensure functionality during an outage. What is a UPS-style battery? An Uninteruptible Power Supply (UPS) battery is a device that provides power even during an outage, as it is independent of the power grid. This type of apparatus can be purchased in most large scale electronics stores.
Can my number be confidential?
Of course! To make one confidential call, dial *67 before dialing the desired phone number. If you wish for all your calls to be confidential, simply reach out to a customer service agent via any of our platforms (Facebook, SMS, email or chat) and they will happily assist you in the process.
Will my phone number be findable through Canada411 or the phone directory?
Your phone number will not be given to directories Since oxio home phone uses VoIP, it will not be disclosed nor given away to sites like Canada411 or the Yellow Pages.
Can I forward my calls to a different phone number?
Of course! Simply reach out to a customer service agent via any of our platforms (Facebook Messenger, SMS, or email) with the number you wish your calls to be forwarded to.
